Leslie has been practicing immigration law for over 20 years. She started her career in a large law firm, where she created an immigration practice group in her local office. She then moved to one of the nation’s largest retail fashion companies where she worked as in-house immigration counsel. She has also worked as Of Counsel for a boutique immigration law firm in Ohio and Lead Immigration Counsel for a leading firm in Dallas before joining D’Alessio Law in 2022. As our Senior Attorney, Leslie leads our family-based and investment practice groups and specializes in a wide variety of temporary and permanent visa categories. Her depth of knowledge and practical experience across various industries make her an invaluable asset to our team.
She is a native of Ohio and graduate of The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she served on the Editorial Board for the Ohio State University Journal on Dispute Resolution as well as a leader in several student groups. While in law school, Ms. Howard was selected as a Federal Language and Area Studies Fellow and studied Arabic for two years. In addition to being conversant in Arabic, she is fluent in Spanish.
Leslie is a proud ally of the immigrant community and her favorite part of practicing immigration law is the opportunity to meet and represent talented and resilient people from all over the world. She is a mother of three teenage girls and spends the majority of her free time raising them. She is a wine and fitness enthusiast and cherishes time spent with girlfriends, her fiancé and her very large immediate family.
